Apple Has Removed Google Maps off of iPhone

Chris Sams, June 11, 2012

I’ve recently read that Apple has decided to ditch Google Maps from their mobile devices and will use a map program they have developed instead. Could this be another bold move from Apple or could they be shooting themselves in the foot? I personally greatly rely on Google Maps so I could see this as a deal breaker for some people, unless Apple could actually surpass the reliability, and ease of use of Google Maps. I don’t know if Steve Jobs would agree with Tim Cook here.

In addition, Apple is integrating Facebook into their phone and snubbed Google+. I don’t know if Steve Jobs would agree with Tim Cook here. I can see how Apple would drop Google, (being that the Android is the iPhone’s biggest rival) but Facebook?

I smell mobile war.
