Over the years Google has made a variety of great applications, widgets, and so forth make the sharing experience just that much better.  But in the recent years, Google really out did itself by adding one great feature to really complete the sharing system for its most popular site YouTube. This new feature is callled Annotations.

With Annotations,  you can take your YouTube video to the next level. Now you can make interactive links right on your video post upload. Using a couple of helpful tools (spotlight, comment bubble, and notes) you can easily redirect people your other videos, your channel, or even a personal link. These new methods of interaction have really helped people get their information viewed.

This great new feature is really one to be impressed by. Although it now offers many great tools, it is limited in its capabilities. for example, all these features will work just fine on the YouTube page, but will not work properly if you embed it outside of the YouTube website, hopefully one day. There has also been reported that it might take a little longer for your videos to load, and that some of the annotations will shift or not be exactly where you put them for some reason. But it’s really rare and apart from that the system seems to work just fine.

Another great feature that has been introduced into the YouTube family is Analytics. If you haven’t used Analytics by now, please do so. Most people use this tools in order to find out information about the traffic on their website and so forth. Now you can do the same for your YouTube. A handy tool for those with a channel and a surplus of videos.

I hope you all have a chance to try this new feature. YouTube will hopefully expand on this feature and make it even better over the years. For now, get to the site and start making videos, ASAP!
